11/13/2024 – In honor of Veterans Day, we are thrilled to share the inspiring adventure of our PM who recently visited a local 5th-grade classroom at Hugger Elementary School. This heartwarming interaction aimed to educate young students about the significance of Veterans Day and the vital role that service members play in protecting our freedom.

During his visit, COL Bonnette shared fascinating stories from his military career, the history of Veterans Day (originally called Armistice Day), and engaged in thought-provoking discussions on ways to show gratitude to our Veterans for their service and sacrifice.

COL Bonnette awarded each student a special SPHS Coin as a tangible reminder of the courage and strength of our military forces and the role it has played in American history leaving a lasting impression on the next generation.
