07/29/2024 – SPHS is proud to celebrate Cadet Michael Carson's successful completion of the Army ROTC Advance Camp at Fort Knox, Kentucky. After 35 days at Fort Knox, Mr. Craig Carson's son, Cadet Carson, graduated on Monday, July 29th in front of his family and fellow cadets.

The ROTC Advance Camp is the final major training event required for Cadet Carson to successfully complete prior to being commissioned upon graduation from Michigan Technical University in Houghton, MI, where he is currently studying to be a Mechanical Engineer. Cadet Carson hopes to be commissioned in Armor when he graduates in 2026. Cadet Carson now returns to MTU to be the Cadet Battalion Command Sergeant Major to prepare third year cadets for their Advanced Camp next summer.
